Stearic acid


A solid and waxy substance that is produced by adding acid to animal fat along with water at high pressure and high temperatures. It is found in many animal and vegetable fats and oils and is found in animal fats more than plant fats.


Applications and Uses

As an ingredient in the manufacture of candles, plastics, food supplements, oily casseroles, cosmetics, softening and softening of rubber and the medical industry as suppositories and ointment is very useful. This acid is one of the most commonly used lubricants during molding and pressurization of ceramic powders.
